This is such a beautiful time! Let's celebrate the magic of motherhood by documenting your glow and radiance with a custom, styled portrait experience. If ever there is a time to entrust yourself to the hands of a professional photographer, it is now. I will guide you through poses that you will make you look and feel absolutely amazing. Early booking is encouraged as my calendar fills quickly.

Maternity sessions are best photographed anytime between 26-34 weeks, anytime you’re comfortable really. Usually around this time your belly will be defined all while still feeling comfortable for posing and walking. If you’re further along, please don’t hesitate to see if there is availability as I may have last minute openings and would love to work with you.
On location sessions take place in the evenings about an hour before sunset.
Signature Maternity Session
The session is for up to 90 minutes, family & siblings included, styling consultation, complementary use of studio maternity gowns and a digital gallery of 15 perfectly edited images. You will receive a proofing gallery of approximately 40-60 proofs to select your favorite images within 72 hours of your session.

First, upon inquiry we’ll chat about your session and decide on a date. Your session date will then be secured by paying the session fee. Secondly, we’ll discuss styling & design so we can visualize how your session will come together. Third, is the day of your session! Let’s create magic. Lastly, we will have your gallery opening where you decide what prints & products you’d love for treasuring your memories. Typically, clients choose to invest between $500 - $1,000 in their session.
The session fee is non-refundable as it secures your date on my calendar. Prints, products and digital images are in addition to the session fee. Signature sessions yield 25+ images and Petite sessions yield 10+ images. Image selection will be made through your proofing gallery. Your perfectly, hand edited images will be available for download within 10-21 business days, seasonal delays do occur. Digital images, prints and products are subject to California State sales tax.
Maternity Photography FAQs
When should I take my maternity photos?
I recommend that you schedule your maternity photo sessions when you are about 26-34 weeks or 6-8 months along. This way your belly will be noticeably round but not too heavy so that you won’t experience any sort of discomfort.
What do I need to bring to my maternity photography session?
There are a few things I suggest you bring to your maternity session just to ensure you have a smooth and comfortable shoot. Having some water and snacks on hand is always a good idea. Be sure to bring a pair of comfy shoes to change into for casual photos and if, on location, a jacket or a sweater since some of the locations tend to become cooler as the session progresses.
What do I wear to my maternity photo session?
As mentioned above, I have a beautiful selection of designer maternity gowns that you can choose from. Or if you wish, you can wear something of your own. When choosing something of your own, I suggest something tight and form fitting (for mamas of ALL shapes and sizes) to show off your beautiful baby belly. I also suggest wearing a nude strapless bra and nude seamless underwear.
What props should I bring to my session?
Props are not necessary, but they can be a great way to personalize your session. For instance, if you know the gender of your baby or have decided on a name already, you can bring colored balloons to announce the gender or blocks to spell out his/her name. Other great ideas are baby shoes, sonograms, balloons, etc.
What are my maternity photography location options, and can we go to more than one location?
When you book your session(s) I can advise you on where to go to get the look you want. The locations I frequent are typically parks and trails. I keep maternity sessions to one location in order to maximize our time and to allow for a more comfortable experience for mama. Keep in mind the outdoor locations are always changing with the seasons/weather.
Will any retouching be included to remove stretch marks?
All retouching is included in the price of your session and any additional images that you purchase! Please be sure to let me know if there are specific things you want to be retouched.
